Looking forward to reading the book. It will be good to have this detailed analysis of the problems and the ways forward. I read Heather Mac Donald's article about San Francisco's problems in City Journal a couple of years ago. I also have been in San Francisco for scientific meetings (American Chemical Society, etc.) regularly for 40 years, most recently in 2017. The area around Market Street between the Moscone Center and the the streets like Post and Geary on the north side of Market had deteriorated badly in 2017 with many people sleeping on the streets and much trash. These people need help of the right kind.

Schellenberger just blocked me on Twitter because I had the audacity to refer to peer reviewed science that contradicts his opinions.

Turns out he is not really interested in discovering the truth after-all, just propaganda that helps him pay the bills.

Ironically you are a great critique of the status quo but have no policy plan for improving it. You claim that Progressives deny addicts "the best medically proven way to reduce addiction" but never reveal it.
